What is a cough?
In principle, coughing is a natural protective reaction of our body to clear the respiratory tract of dust, foreign objects, or mucus. The mucous membranes of the airways are lined with millions of cilia, which keep the surface moist with a transparent mucus and move in wave-like motions toward the throat. Foreign bodies that have entered are trapped in this moist protective film and are either swallowed down or expelled through a reflex.
If the function of the cilia is disrupted, for example, by dry air condition air or by viruses and bacteria, the body compensates for this by coughing more frequently. Therefore, one should not immediately attempt to suppress a cough at its onset.

Children 1–4 years: 3 times 5 ml
Children 4–12 years: 3 times 10 ml
Children above 12 years and adults: 4 times 10 ml
Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.
This product should not be taken in case of known allergy against Plantago.
Do not give to children under the age of 1 year. The product should be stored out of the reach of children.
